I have many spare rooms in this house but all of them have lots of rubbish in them. The last two or so days I started cleaning each room at a time and today I finished cleaning and throwing away all sorts of rubbish from the last room which I was dreading it for very long time. I feel good. Finally. Only 5 more sleeps for the new year and I will start the new year clean. Both in my house and in my body and heart.

I volunteered to make a cake for my niece Araz’s birthday and it looked awesome. My mother as always made me panic and criticised the cakes I make saying they don’t taste good. She got me to put some lemon zest and some Kahlua in it. I did.

I than decorated the cake with white sugar coat on it and made pink and baby green round decorations and put them on the cake white sugar coating. Looked great and tasted even better. All the guests couldn’t believe that I made the cake and I told everyone that I would make their cakes for their next birthday… hahahahahahaha

For the joy of Christ who came to this earth to be one of us and to show us how to live in his image but for most of all he showed us how to have a relationship with the Creator…

Here’s to you JC.

Christmas Eve and I got to see the first fire works of many to come over the next month or so. We went to Darling harbour where Avedis had his boat parked with three other Armenians whom had their own boats there too. As part of a conversation that was happening someone said it’s better to be average rich than to be very rich… it was funny cause she lives at a water front house where they have a jetty to park their boat and has a full-time cleaner and a nanny… But for that moment I was grateful for being average.

I have a large gum tree in my backyard and I have a family or two of kookaburra who live on it and they make a lot of noises at 5am in the morning. It is the last thing you want to hear at 5am in the morning let me tell you that. But I’m glad we have them, let me tell you why?

When I was in Cambodia I realised there was hardly any birds around. At all… it was the bizarrest thing. Apparently the locals will kill and eat them so they had this tiny ones which you almost need magnifiers to see them but besides that nothing really. Even in Kep which is a town. It got me a bit worried thinking how much fish they eat and what we are doing to the current eco system? would it survive???

So MOC #42 is to out lovely birds. Make as much noise as you like. I love you all.

Kris Kringle… I’m not sure if this an international phenomena or just an Australian one but I like it!!! sooooo much fun.

A week ago I got all my team mates names in an envelope and got them to pick a name and buy a present for that person. I said maximum $20 but apparently that was too much so we said let’s average it to $10… We got David to be the santa and give us the present instead of doing our daily stand ups. We ended up laughing a lot. Getting presents which ranged from $4 – $30… David  got those stamps from Typo that said “F… Off” and “Bull S…” which we laughed so much. I couldn’ve done it better myself.

I got to buy for Bruce and I bought him some chocolates in return James had my name and he got me Guylian chocolates… All in all very good time and lots of laughs

I got up early this morning and went for a walk around my neighbourhood. There’s this big hill near my house that goes all the way to the shopping centre. When I was training for Nepal, I went up and down that hill couple of times… I remember when I was in Nepal I was cursing myself that I didn’t train more on that hill so now every time I climb that bloody hill it reminds me the times I got trained for Nepal.

It’s good that even though my body has forgotten the hill and how hard it is to climb it, it doesn’t take long to get used to it again :)

It’s hard to see someone being in the dumps and know that there’s not much you can do about it. But we always try to cheer them up as well as we can. Once in a while though, they do get a snap of sunshine and the life and the world looks better for a short while. If you blink you miss the moment but it existed for them for that moment alone.  Today was one of these moments. Some coincidental seating arrangement in a café brought a dash of sunshine to a lovely person that I care dearly for. Nice…
